Future Forests II
Conference Background:
On February 11th -12th 2009 Future Forests II (FFII) conference addressed the challenges currently facing the wood products industry and the worked to identify opportunities to assist in sustaining forestlands, essential infrastructure and open space. The conference was attended by 140 participants that included landowners, policy makers, regulatory agency representatives, foresters, forest manufacturing as well as members of the conservation and open space communities. Pre- and post- conference field tours were included in the conference schedule on February 10th and February 13th. The conference was sponsored by Institute for Sustainable Forestry, Buckeye Forest Project and Buckeye Conservancy, University of California Cooperative Extension, Forest Guild and Redwood Coast Rural Action.
