Ranch Water Quality

The Ranch Water Quality Update Workshop, last held in November of 2010, consisted of presentations and discussion of the latest findings in rangeland water quality management. This workshop integrated management expertise and research to identify practical grazing options to reduce impacts to water quality and enhance productivity. From this, and similar, workshops the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board developed TMDL regulations for Elk River and other north coast watersheds. This workshop followed similar presentations that have occurred in Red Bluff and Petaluma over the last few years and offered timely information for north coast producers.
