UCCE Highlights

Fire Education and Outreach

Last spring, we hosted field tours in Redwood National Park and Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, highlighting the unique plant communities in each place and the role of fire science in shaping management strategies. During the fall, we co-sponsored two events that were organized by the Northern California Prescribed Fire Council, including a two-week prescribed fire training (TREX) event as well as a large fire management conference in Sacramento.
